Choosing and Taking an Assessment

Students take up to two assessment tests each for each of the five
standards of the Chapter Standards. The first assessment per standard
is the Preliminary Assessment and the second assessment
is the Final Assessment.

Your students' personalized home pages
show a matrix featuring buttons they use to start or continue
assessments, making it easy for them to see where
they are in the process.

This is what the first screen of a typical assessment looks like:

Each assessment has five pages, each with varying numbers
of questions for students to think about and answer. As they progress
through the pages, they can see which page they're on and which
of the two assessments (Preliminary or Final) they're taking.

The last screen of each assessment congratulates a student on completing
the assessment. Once the student submits answers on this final screen,
that assessment is considered finished. Their personalized home page
will now show that this assessment is DONE.

Once the final screen of an assessment has been submitted,
students have a choice: Return to their personal home page,
or see their results in bar chart form.
